Roy Hamilton was ordained as the Pastor of East End Baptist Church on Sunday 6th March 2022, having previously pastored churches at Waterford, Republic of Ireland (one of the oldest Baptist churches in Ireland, having been established in 1650), as well as two churches in Wales, at Calvary, Penybryn, and most recently at Hebron Evangelical Church, Dowlais, where he served as Pastor from Sept 2008 until retiring in 2016. Roy is married to Jean and God has blessed them with have four adult daughters as well as grandchildren.
Colin is married to Ruth and God has blessed them with three sons, Samuel aged 12, James aged 9 and Josiah aged 6. Colin has attended East End since childhood and was taught God's Word in the Children's Meeting, Sunday School and at home. Colin came to faith while attending a Boy's Brigade camp, hearing God's Word there also. He came into membership of the church on 2/2/2003, being baptised upon profession of faith. Colin is fully engaged in the Lord's work, particularly the Children's work, also the preaching and teaching of God's Word and using his God-given talent to play the piano and other musical instruments. After serving as a Deacon for a period of time, by the Lord's leading, it was recognised by the present Elders and Deacons and accepted by the members that Colin should serve as an Elder. We trust that Colin, Ruth and their family will be supported in prayer by the Lord's people at East End and also with the prayers of their many Christian friends.
Marshall (known to everyone as Joe) came to faith in Christ at the age of twenty-nine, after serving nine years in Her Majesty's Royal Navy. He came into membership of the church in December 2012 along with his wife Margaret. Joe, as an Elder, serves the Lord faithfully with his organisational abilities and his God-given gift to share in the teaching ministry at times. They have two sons, Jeffrey and Mark and one daughter Hannah and eight grandchildren.
